The Designer’s Copywriter? What’s that all about?

I specialise in collaborating closely with web design agencies and related professionals. Copy and design work best in a symbiotic relationship which is carefully cultivated from the very beginning of a project. This is my core philosophy.

​Do you only work with web designers?

​No. I also work with clients directly who either need copy alone or want me to collaborate with their current design/marketing team.

​What are your fees?

​I charge by the project with the fee based on the following price guidelines:

  • Website copy – Starting at $100 per page (incl. SEO research/metadata)
  • Blog/Article – $75 per 500 words
  • Copyediting – $50 per 500 words
  • Press Release – Starting at $75 (no distribution)
  • Brochure – $75 per 500 words
  • Case Studies – 800-1200 words - $300 per case study
  • Consulting - $50 per hour

​Surely I can find a cheaper writer?

Yes, you definitely can. But like with anything, you get what you pay for.

A cheaper writer doesn’t have the time to understand your business and your target audience. They need to rush through the writing process to complete more work for less money, just to earn a liveable income. The cheaper they are, the less they’ll care about accuracy, readability and lucrative sales results.

Experienced copywriters do care and have the time, knowledge and ability to make a huge impact on your sales. I’ve been copywriting for clients worldwide for over 10 years and know what it takes to help you achieve your marketing goals.

Go cheap by all means, but don’t expect the results you truly need.

What are your payment policies?

I require 50% of the agreed fee paid upfront before any work begins. The final part is paid upon delivery of the project. Payments to be made via bank transfer or Paypal within 14 days of an invoice being issued.

How long will the copywriting take?

This is difficult to say with any certainty. It depends on the scale of your project and also my current workload when you first make contact. Once I know a little more about what you need and when you need it, then I’ll be able to give you a more accurate timeframe.

I’m outside the UK. Can we still work together?

Yes. I work with clients worldwide. I’ve written copy for businesses in Belgium, Israel, Poland, Denmark and the US, among others.

I’m proficient in both my native British-English and also in American-English.

How will we communicate?

I use three primary communication methods with clients. These are email, phone (UK only) and Skype calls. For international clients I’ve found email and Skype to be more than sufficient for all communication needs.
